Dr. Jesse de Does
Computerlinguïst

Jesse de Does studeerde wiskunde en slavistiek in Amsterdam. Hij was van 1986 tot 1990 werkzaam als wetenschappelijk assistent bij de afdeling Slavische taal- en letterkunde van de Universiteit Leiden. In 1995 promoveerde hij bij Hans Schumacher aan de Universiteit van Tilburg in de toegepaste wiskunde. Daarna was hij werkzaam bij Baltzer Science Publishers in Amsterdam en AND Publishers in Rotterdam.

Jesse werkt sinds 2001 als computerlinguïst bij het Instituut voor de Nederlandse Taal, aanvankelijk bij de afdeling Taalbank. Sinds 2008 is hij nauw betrokken bij diverse internationale projecten, zoals IMPACT, SUCCEED, tranScriptorium. Op dit moment is hij projectleider CLARIAH voor het instituut en lid van het seniorteam.
